American-Israeli Composer Leads Workshop in NYC, Tuesday January 31, 2006
Eliana Gilad will lead a participatory workshop ("Uplifting Ancient Sounds & Rhythms for Living Peace") on using the body and natural voice as instruments of healing and transformation, as they were used in ancient times.
[ClickPress, Sat Jan 07 2006] "This is an opportunity for us to slow down, and cultivate peacefulness and inner calm—-celebrating our vulnerability and common humanity," says Gilad. During the full-participation event, the group will explore a mystical Hebrew vocal meditation that connects us to our roots, five-element healing chants (medically proven to induce relaxation and focus) that connect us to our Source, and natural rhythms from the ancients. Gilad continues, "What would it be like if we all listened to and expressed our authentic voices and, together, these unique voices could be heard as one harmonious voice? This is the essence of the Voices of Eden experiment."
If You Are Interested in Meeting or Interviewing the Artist:
Gilad will be touring the United States between January 20 and February 20, and is available during this period for phone interviews. Press members are invited to a private reception to meet the artist on the evening of Tuesday, January 24th, and also to attend the workshop as her guest (see contact information below). While in New York, she is available for in-person interviews.
