FUTURIST AND WALT DISNEY IMAGINEER ALUMNUS JOE TANKERSLEY TALKS FORCES BEHIND TRENDS AND GIVES TOOLS

On Tuesday, April 9th, 2019 futurist and Walt Disney Imagineer alumnus Joe Tankersley will present on "Navigating the Future of Business" at the Notre Dame Club of Naples Spring Business Luncheon. Attendees will better understand the forces behind business trends, be better able to anticipate unexpected disruptions in their business and profession, and receive tools to help create strategy in a time of accelerating change. The luncheon will kick off at 11:30 AM and will be held at Artichoke’s in Bonita Springs, FL.

Keeping up in an age of accelerated change is a challenge for every CEO, entrepreneur, and young professional. Joe Tankersley will use his knowledge and skills gained working for the world’s most successful entertainment company to help attendee’s "Imagineer their best tomorrows." Attendees will walk away with the insights to help them anticipate the unexpected and discover new business opportunities sooner. Futurist Joe Tankersley will show attendees how to get past the headlines and trend reports to examine the forces shaping the future of their business and community.

During his time at Disney, and Disney Imagineering’s elite Blue-Sky Studio, Joe Tankersley founded the group’s first Strategic Foresight Program. Since then, he has been using his experience to assist multi-national corporations, major foundations, and community-based organizations across key topics to include the future of workforce, retail, sustainability, health, creativity, and aging.

The ND Business Luncheon will be held at Artichoke’s Restaurant in Bonita Springs, FL. Doors opens at 11:30 AM, a buffet is served at 11:45, and the presentation will begin at 12:15 PM. The lunch is open to the public, and costs $50 to attend. Attendees can register by visiting the Notre Dame Club of Naples website at naples.undclub.org and should register by April 9th, 2019. Payment is available online. Proceeds are donated to the ND Club of Naples Scholarship Fund.

The ND Spring Business Luncheon is sponsored by the Notre Dame Club of Naples as part of an informal program to bring educational and business events to South Florida.

Joe Tankersley is a writer, futurist, and former Walt Disney Imagineer. He combines his broad experience as a storyteller with a deep knowledge of strategic foresight to help organizations create compelling visions for better tomorrows. During his 20 years at Walt Disney Imagineering, Joe led creative teams on projects for Epcot, Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the Disneyland Resort in California. Much of his work involved creating "serious fun;" using entertainment to enlighten, empower and inspire guests from around the world. His projects have been recognized nationally and internationally, including receiving the prestigious THEA award for his work on Millennium Village at Epcot. Joe is actively involved in efforts to create better tomorrows for his local community to include his membership of Conscious Capitalism Florida and his advising to numerous local nonprofits. He currently serves on the creative advisory board to the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes.
