Mr. Abdullah Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah, Chairman said that the success of 1st Tony Roma’s restaurant at Ibn Battuta Mall has strengthen our confidence on the brand and we are very excited to have opened our 2nd Tony Roma’s just 6 months after the first one.
The grand opening ceremony of second Tony Roma's Restaurant at Sahara Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road was attended by David Head, Chief Executive Office and President of Romacorp., Mr. Marc Buehler, VP Marketing and Brad Smith, VP Franchise Operations. Also present in the event were Board members of International Trading Franchises, headed by Chairman Mr. Abdullah Mohamed Juma Al Naboodah of Saeed & Mohamed Al Naboodah Group.
“Dubai has witnessed tremendous growth over the past few years and we felt that the time was right to expand our presence in the region. Tony Roma’s has been in the market for 34 years and is known worldwide among international travelers, particularly those UAE residents who travel around the world for business or pleasure. Those same travelers when coming to Dubai are, to a large extent, responsible for the great success of our first restaurant in Ibn Battuta Mall,” commented Mr. David Head at the opening of the new Tony Roma’s.
Tony Roma's, operational since 1972, continues to garner recognition annually for its outstanding flame-grilled Ribs, Steaks and Seafood in both national and international cook-offs. International Trading Franchises LLC is the Master Franchisee of Tony Roma's restaurant for 12 countries in the Middle East.
The General Manager of ITF, Mr. Zulfiqar Ahmed stated: “ITF is exploring other markets regionally in the GCC and we are assessing our priorities in terms of customer demand and the sustainability. Tony Roma’s reputation precedes itself and with the huge success of the Dubai-based restaurants, we have to constantly redefining our guest relations, menu and in-house service, while remaining true to the core philosophies of what Tony Roma’s represents.”
Tony Roma’s, while famous for its flame-grilled Ribs, makes it a policy to adapt its menu to local tastes. As such the restaurant in Dubai offers 100 percent halal meat, and locally-flavored dishes on the menu include Beef Ribs, Lamb Rack, Lamb & Beef Kababs, just to name a few.
