Cureself, Inc. will no longer accept orders online from US and international customers. The board of directors of the company announced its decision to focus solely on the Canadian online retail market for vitamins, herbs, and non-pharmaceutical supplements.

[ClickPress, Thu Jan 19 2006] Today the board of directors of Cureself, Inc. announced its decision to focus solely on the Canadian online retail market for vitamins, herbs, and non-pharmaceutical supplements. The company will no longer accept orders online from US and international customers.

D. Smirnoff, a company director, said that the decision was made in line with the new strategy of building stronger relationships with Cureself’s expanding Canadian customer base.

While the number of US customers grew in 2005, it became apparent that Cureself was achieving higher response rates and repeat orders from Canadian consumers. Consequently, in the near term, the management has decided to focus the resources on attracting and better serving the Canadian vitamin consumer.

“Our analysis and experience over the past year has shown that there is still enough room for us to grow in Canada. Clear positioning as a Canadian online vitamin retailer in combination with our easy-to-use website, brand name vitamins at prices below (offline) retail, and quick order fulfillment has been well received by the Canadian consumer,” he said.

The growth of the Canadian NHP market is at least partly being driven by conventional physicians (MD’s) who are recommending that many of their patients take specific non-pharmaceutical health products (primarily vitamins and minerals) along with prescriptions and lifestyle changes.

“A perfect example is seen with the medical conditions of osteopenia, osteoporosis, or fractures in the elderly for which many physicians recommend some type of Calcium/Magnesium bone formula to accompany conventional treatment,” Smirnoff said.

“We will continue to save our Canadian vitamin customers 20-40% over bricks and mortar retail stores, while expanding the number of products available.”

Starting January, 2006 all prices on Cureself.com will be displayed only in Canadian dollars and the checkout options for international customers will be removed. The decision will not affect existing Cureself.com customers outside of Canada, who will be able to continue buying supplements online from Cureself, Inc. using their current registration profile.
