About The HPW Foundation:
Don Walston, one of Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston’s founders, formed the HPW Foundation in the late 1990’s so that sales associates and employees could have a forum, through the company, for serving the communities in which they live. Since its inception, the HPW Foundation has given more than $688,000 to local, not-for-profit organizations to benefit countless individuals throughout the Triangle. Recipients include Habitat for Humanity, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, The Frankie Lemmon Foundation, Special Olympics North Carolina, The MeFine Foundation and Second Chance Pet Adoptions. In addition to charitable and non-profit organizations, the HPW Foundation makes donations as needs occur. Funds have been contributed to assist families affected by devastation from natural disasters, including the excessive hurricane and flood damage that has affected our state in recent years.

About Second Chance Pet Adoptions:
Second Chance Pet Adoptions is a nonprofit organization and the Triangle’s oldest, no-kill animal rescue group. Its mission is to rescue abandoned and stray cats and dogs, provide excellent care for each pet and match each pet with the best home for its needs, in order to ensure a long lifetime of safety, love and companionship. In its nearly 20 years of existence, Second Chance has placed thousands of animals in new homes and has had a positive impact on the lives of thousands of Triangle families. Second Chance also encourages responsible pet ownership through education, advocacy, programs and services.
