eBay Inadvertently Creates Importers Out Of Small Businesses

Intense competition on eBay forces eBay sellers to start importing.

[ClickPress, Thu Jan 19 2006] The competition on eBay has created the need for eBay sellers to seek exotic product sources.

While at the onset of the eBay phenomenon most eBay sellers could build easily sell their items, there is now a much deeper level of competition.

The wholesalers who supply eBay sellers have by now been discovered by most online auctioneers.

In their search for new product sources, many of these eBay sellers have now turned to foreign sources for wholesale products.

For example, http://www.salehoo.net has become very popular because it offers import sources for wholesale products. It lists hundreds of wholesale sources that are willing to work with small quantity buyers, including first time eBay sellers.

With the competition only intensifying on eBay, more sellers are expected to turn towards overseas sources who can supply them with unique and distinct products.

Importers also benefit in terms of cost savings. Since they are purchasing at lower prices they can in turn sell at lower prices and continue to enjoy decent profit margins.

It will be interesting to see if the wholesale sources listed in http://www.salehoo.net will take the next step and become direct eBay participants.
