BCG makes further new senior appointments

Published: Tue Jul 15 2008

Leading bathroom, kitchen and heating distributor BCG, announces two new senior appointments hot on the heels of appointing its new managing director, Chris Honer. Two of Chris’s first appointments to join him on the senior team are Stuart Benson, who is promoted to National Sales Manger – Retail Division, and Jonathan Eyre who is promoted to National Sales Manager – Merchant Division.

Stuart Initially joined BCG as Regional Sales Manager – North, just six months ago. He is now responsible for driving the company’s sales upwards nationally across all retail customer accounts. Stuart manages a 20-strong UK retail sales division and will now also be taking an active role in marketing and the development of new Kitchen & Bathroom products for BCG XL. Stuart has over 20 years’ relevant experience in the kitchen marketplace, and the knowledge and understanding of many different roles within the Distribution & Manufacturing channels.

Jonathan Eyre has been with BCG for five years, and like Stuart has a wealth of senior sales and management experience gained in the industry working for some leading brands. Jonathan is promoted to manage key relationships with merchant (trade) customers, a role which demands a strategic awareness of the marketplace, strong negotiation and presentation skills and the ability to plan, develop and implement a business plan.

Commenting on the appointments, BCG MD, Chris Honer, said: "Few people understand the industry better than Stuart and Jonathan, and few understand the transition we have made and continue to make – from Broughton Crangrove Galley Matrix to BCG XL. I am delighted that we were able to source these two key roles from such a strong pool of talent internally within BCG, and I am sure they will both excel in their new positions.

"BCG has already come a long way in a short period of time, and with management of the calibre of Stuart and Jonathan I am sure we can continue to make the further improvements required to continue to meet and exceed our customer expectations. I am confident that these - and other senior appointments soon to be announced – will put BCG in the best shape possible to meet future growth and profitability targets."
