The Hadrian Exhibition to be held at The British Museum held between the 24th July and 26th October explores the life, love and legacy of Rome’s most enigmatic emperor, Hadrian (reigned AD 117–138). Matfen’s package has been specially created to give people the opportunity see and explore first hand this legacy.
The inclusive costs of the package, based on classic bedroom in the hotel, are £195.00 per person, Sunday to Thursday, and £215.00 per person, Friday & Saturday. This includes 1 ticket per person giving admission to 2 of the top English Heritage sites on Hadrian's Wall at Housesteads, Chesters, Birdoswald, or Corbridge. Guests’ conquests of The Wall will be aided by a comprehensive guide book provided, and a copy of Roger Clegg’s book, The Spirit of Hadrian’s Wall. Roger has devoted much of the last six years to photographing the Wall and the surrounding countryside and this book provides a rare insight into the Wall and its landscape at times of day and seasons of the year that few visitors ever see. This unique collection of atmospheric photographs will not be available in the UK until November, but will be posted to anyone taking Matfen’s unique tour, as a fitting memorial to their personal conquest.
