A workshop and presentation of the Life Skills for Children programme is being held in Camden, London on Friday 8th August. The event will specifically tackle knife awareness training.
[ClickPress, Fri Jul 18 2008] The recent increase in knife related crime and youth anti-social behaviour, has led Milton Keynes based company “Life Skills for Children” to launch their programme in London during August.
Something has to be done urgently to tackle the increased anti-social behaviour that is leading to the growth of knife related crime. The Government and Media are constantly asking for ideas on how to solve these problems in society, and the Life Skills for Children team’s goal is to be part of the bigger campaign against knives.
The preventative measure programme Life Skills for Children was developed 3½ years ago by its founder, an Edge Weapons Defensive Tactics Instructor and tackles some of the fundamental problems children experience today in a friendly and educational way.
“It is important to understand that the Life Skills for Children programme is a preventative measures course designed to educate children in a number of skills including social responsibility and knife awareness training. This education is best delivered from the age of 5 years plus. We have the opportunity to positively change the next generation of teenagers. For those children already experiencing a lack of education and social responsibility, the Life Skills for Children team provide educational boot camps designed to shock, educate and establish a positive move forward in these young people’s lives. The boot camp includes some hard hitting education, which concludes in the delivery of some motivational life skills training to give the young people a more positive outlook on their future.” – Gary Payne
