Kofax Ninja Commercial Yields Over 1 Million YouTube Views
EMG's in-house production of a Kofax Image Products' commercial has impressively generated buzz across over 1 million YouTube viewers.
[ClickPress, Wed Jul 23 2008] A commercial from Earthbound Media Group’s (EMG) award-winning viral video campaign for client Kofax Image Products has generated more than 1 million user hits since its online premiere on May 19, 2008, on video sharing website YouTube.com. To date, the Kofax Ninja ad has produced 1,065,871 views and was ranked by the Google-owned online video destination as the #46 “Most All Time Viewed” video for the Science & Technology category.
The online commercials were produced in-house by EMG’s innovative team in order to promote the features and benefits of the software manufacturer’s specialized scanning software dubbed Virtual ReScan (VRS). In hopes of increasing brand awareness via word-of-mouth, the series would eventually lead the way by setting the precedent for Kofax’s online viral marketing campaign.

In the featured spot, the ninja role-playing office employee accidentally makes a mess of his coworkers’ reports. He frantically gathers the disheveled, torn and damaged documents and immediately rushes them to be scanned, hoping to preserve the originals. Instantly, the crumpled papers are scanned and corrected by the VRS software. The maxim “when sweet ninja skills aren’t enough” used at the end of the commercial was added to further elaborate on the Kofax product’s problem-solving capabilities even when the going gets tough.
