The event is held annually and this year August 21st to 24th.

According to Dunmore East International Bluegrass Festival executive event coordinators once a year music pilgrims come from all over the world to listen to authentic bluegrass music. Bands play to ecstatic crowds, spread out comfortably at 6 venues, both indoors and outdoors. There also fine dining, sunbathing, swimming, dancing and jamming all day and night - a Bluegrass picker's paradise. A full programme will be available at the pubs and hotels prior to the start of the festival. There is no entry fee and each of the groups play at all of the venues throughout the weekend - and from as early as 12 noon on the Saturday and Sunday.

According to Kim Power Stilson, author of newly released “24 Hours to Zero Down Marketing” (www.powerstrategies.TV) and talk show host (www.planetarystreams.com) she is attending the Festival which is held in her family’s home town to host the radio and TV coverage for the event on the Planetary Streams Talk Radio and TV network. Kim attended the Bluegrass Festival last year while visiting cousins in Dunmore East. After her experience she felt that the world should experience the Festival and realized the Internet would make this possible.
