Meredith Morgan, president of the HPW Foundation (www.hpw.com), has announced that Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston and the HPW Foundation will sponsor the 44th Annual Ed Shook Golf Classic. The tournament will take place at North Ridge Country Club, located at 6612 Falls of Neuse Road on Monday, Sept. 22. The annual golf classic will benefit the Frankie Lemmon School and Developmental Center, a nonprofit, tuition-free public preschool in Raleigh designed for children ages 3 to 6 experiencing delays in development.

The Ed Shook Golf Classic is the largest source of therapeutic funding for the Frankie Lemmon School. Every dollar raised as a result of this tournament is used directly and specifically to provide the therapies and specialized therapists necessary to assist the children at the school.

The tournament offers two divisions of play, two shotgun starts, putting, driving, chipping, closest to the pin contests as well as prizes for holes-in-one. To participate or for more information, call (919) 845-8880 or register online at www.twenc.org.

About The HPW Foundation:
Don Walston, one of Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston’s founders, formed the HPW Foundation in the late 1990’s so that sales associates and employees could have a forum, through the company, for serving the communities in which they live. Since its inception, the HPW Foundation has given more than $688,000 to local, not-for-profit organizations to benefit countless individuals throughout the Triangle. Recipients include Habitat for Humanity, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, The Frankie Lemmon Foundation, Special Olympics North Carolina, The MeFine Foundation and Second Chance Pet Adoptions. In addition to charitable and non-profit organizations, the HPW Foundation makes donations as needs occur. Funds have been contributed to assist families affected by devastation from natural disasters, including the excessive hurricane and flood damage that has affected our state in recent years.
