The Maynard unveils Christmas packages

Peak District restaurant The Maynard has unveiled its Christmas offering which features half price dining for children under 12 throughout the festive period.

From 1st December until New Year’s Day, children’s meals in the restaurant will be half price. This offer applies to a-la-carte dining and also to the Christmas and New Year’s set menus.

On Christmas Day, this translates to a £40 discount for children (£80 adults/£40 children for 5 courses, whilst on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day children benefit from a £17.50 discount
(£35 adults /£17.50 children for 4 courses).

Paul Downing, director of The Maynard, said: "Bookings are always recommended at Christmas and we have already had a large number of enquiries and bookings for the Christmas and New Year period. We wanted to do something a bit different and make the special occasion of eating out at Christmas a bit easier on the pocket for families in particular.

"Our Christmas Day meal price includes a present for every child from Santa. He was here last year and went down a storm; subject to the prevailing winds in Lapland we are hoping he will be here again this year and we are all looking forward to what is always a memorable time at The Maynard."

The Maynard will again be organising its popular brass band nights on the 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd of December. With performances by Hathersage brass band, the pie and pea suppers with mince pies and coffee are priced at just £14 per person.
