[ClickPress, Mon Feb 13 2006] We all like to nab a bargain and now you can shop for less online and support CavyRescue - the UK's first and only dedicated rodent rescue charity. The CavyRescue webshop is now open for business - and every penny spent will help them continue their work in rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming 'small furries'.
Jason Hulott, co-founder of CavyRescue says: “By using our webshop to make purchases, not only is it a quick and easy way for you to get some great online bargains, find cheaper gas and electricity services, and even book your holidays - but it helps towards our fundraising targets".
CavyRescue was set up in 1999 and has rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed over 1,600 small furries (guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils and rats) via the shelter – which is run from home - and its website.
Jason adds: "Our basic costs to care for the animals is around £15,000 a year. In addition, we have a five year plan to have a fully staffed, dedicated rodent sanctuary. By shopping at our webshop, consumers get a great bargain and we get much needed funds donated by the retailers. Truly a win-win-win!"
So go on, top up your CD or DVD collection or, if you're making business purchases, why not make them from the CavyRescue webshop For example, you can buy computer equipment, great value broadband and stationery. And there are plenty of offers on DIY products, clothing – and lots more from high street names.
