Get some ‘Satisfaction’ at Peak Village this weekend

At 12.00pm, Peak Village will be temporarily transformed when the band give shoppers a free taster of some of the Rolling Stones classics such as Satisfaction, and Honky Tonk Woman.

The appearance of The Stoned Angels at Peak Village, in Rowsley near Matlock, is one of the first of many planned events over the coming weeks and months. Recently taken over by a new, local management team, Peak Village is in the process of being revitalised as a destination outlet rather than simply a place to shop. Martin Langsdale of Peak Village, said: "The Stoned Angels are a quality tribute band. During the busiest time of the week at Peak Village, shoppers will have the opportunity to be entertained whilst they shop. There is no charge for the entertainment and we think it will appeal to all the family. We hope that this will add great value to our customer’s experience of Peak Village on Saturday, which looks like being one of the best weather days of the year so far."

South Yorkshire Entertainment’s Stuart Hollings, the booking agent for The Stoned Angels, says: "The band is a fantastic 6-piece tribute to the legendary Rolling Stones. The lead vocal Ben is not only a skilled guitarist and harmonica player but is well known for his uncanny likeness to Mick Jagger. The shoppers at Peak Village are in for a real treat on Saturday as the Stoned Angels never fail to stun the audiences with their great Rolling Stones sound and Ben the lead singer with his flamboyant Jagger moves. This is quality entertainment and this is a band of highly skilled and professional musicians".

In early October, Abba fans will want to make the visit to Peak Village as the management has confirmed that an Abba tribute band will be performing a set on Saturday 4 October. "With the popularity of the movie Mamma Mia!, having ABBA Revival at Peak Village is a great opportunity to capture some of these pop classics live and in a great outdoor environment. Both ABBA revival and The Stoned Angels will be great fun for all the family, and will add something different to a day out at Peak Village," adds Martin Langsdale.

These events are the first in series of planned attractions at Peak Village in the run up to the Christmas season. Peak Village is home to nearly 20 retailers including national names like Cotton Traders, Leading Labels, Ponden Mill, The Cook Shop and Mountain Warehouse. The outlet shopping centre attracts 750,000 visitors a year and offers visitors the opportunity to combine shopping with other local attractions. Peak Village is located in Rowsley on the Chatsworth Road between Bakewell and Matlock.

Both The Stoned Angels and Abba Revival can be seen again live on stage, later in the year when they are performing full sets at The Maynard, in Grindleford, just 10 miles away from Peak Village.
