The Peninsula At Amberly Featuring Homes By Royal Oaks To Host NBC 17 Shredding Event Location

Rich Van Tassel, president of Royal Oaks Building Group, LLC (www.royaloaksbg.com), has announced that the company will host one of the two locations for the NBC 17 Shredding Event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27. The event is free to the public and will take place at The Peninsula at Amberly, a community featuring homes by Royal Oaks, in Cary. Last spring, more than 1,500 people participated in this educational community event.

The bi-annual shredding event will allow individuals to shred outdated personal documents via an on-site Shred-It shredding truck. Shredding documents will include credit card offers, receipts, check stubs and old bills, among other items. Goodwill Community Foundation also will host a truck on location and will take old clothing and household items. NBC 17 and its Web site, www.nbc17.com, will promote the event for three weeks leading up to the event, and NBC 17 News will promote the event for one week leading up to the event. NBC 17 News also will air a special about Going Green on Friday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 p.m.
