Mary Cantando, coordinator for the North Carolina Make Mine A Million $ Business™ event (www.makemineamillion.org), has announced the judges for the event to be held Tuesday, Oct. 7, at the Blake Hotel, located at 555 S Mcdowell St. Each judge will review women business owners as they pitch their businesses to the judges and audience. The judges are Tara Olson, Carla Liberatore and Dr. Mona El Shazly. Olson, who has an extensive background in marketing and market research, is the owner of AllPoints Research, Inc. in Winston Salem. Liberatore, an expert in finance and investments, is a First Vice President and Investment Officer with Wachovia Securities in Raleigh. Shazly, who is an expert in economics and international business, chairs the Business Department at Columbia College in Columbia, South Carolina. These women represent what it takes to be a successful woman in business.

Make Mine a Million $ Business™ provides a combination of money, mentoring, marketing and technology tools that help women entrepreneurs grow their businesses from micros to millions. Finalists will be selected from applicants statewide and asked to deliver a business pitch to women entrepreneurs, judges and guests at the event.
