With recent abductions and murders by sexual predators, Police Chaplains have their hands full assisting grieving families and communities. One such minister, veteran Police Chaplain Dave Fair, has just released his new book, Mastering Law Enforcement Chaplaincy.

With stories ripped from the headlines, during his almost 20 years in Ministry, Fair's book is written to help Chaplains in learning to assist families through tragedy. In the touching stories such as the deaths of children, loss of the space shuttle crew, and fatal auto crashes, anyone would benefit by reading this book.

It's like "emotional first-aid" for anyone in a position of assisting families and friends in grief and loss. It’s an easy read, yet compelling as it shows how Faith and the human spirit can prevail in times of trouble.

Fair, who was deployed to Ground Zero after 911 as a Chaplain, was also sent to east Texas during the space shuttle disaster recovery. He was in Killeen, Texas, following the Luby's massacre. He ministered to Chaplains who were at the Oklahoma City Bombing and to officers who were at the Branch Dividian Siege in Waco, Texas.

Chaplain Fair, has assisted grieving families in the Stephanie Flannery Murder Case, when Ricky McGinn was convicted and put to death. He recently helped families in the violent murder of a Dallas area resident by his daughter, and the central Texas murder of a young mother by her husband when she was stabbed over 30 times.

Chaplain Fair, is a certified Master Chaplain with the International Conference of Police Chaplains, he is Board Certified as An Expert in Traumatic Stress, Fellow, American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress. A member of the Board of Directors, of the Association of Traumatic Stress Specialists, Chaplain Fair, holds their certifications as a Certified Trauma Responder and a Certified Trauma Specialist. While also serving on the Green Cross Board of Directors he is Certified as a Field Traumatologist.

Chaplain has been a Chaplain almost 20 years and is a licensed Texas Peace officer, and Emergency Medical Technician. He is a hostage negotiator for the Brown County (TX) Sheriff's Department.
