On May 23-24, 2005, the speakers will present topics pertaining to technology directions in manufacturing, and on May 24, Parker and Richardson will participate in Exploiting Technological Advancements to Accelerate Operational Excellence: a Technology Panel Discussion.
Kevin Parker has been with MBT nearly a decade - since 1993 as editor, and July 2000 as editorial director. Parker oversees the content side of MBT’s print products, electronic publications, and events. Parker moderates the MBT Technology Broadcast series and speaks at industry events. Before becoming an editor, he held various positions in the engineering department of an industrial equipment manufacturer. His bachelor’s in philosophy includes studies in the philosophy of science.
Don Richardson leads a team of business development managers and technical specialists at Microsoft who work closely with major manufacturing independent software vendors that are developing solutions that take advantage of the Microsoft platform, Microsoft .NET and Microsoft’s development tools. The group focuses on the areas of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), plant floor automation, product lifecycle management, and supply chain management. Prior to joining Microsoft, Richardson was a technical manager for Intergraph Corp., a Fortune 1000 company in the CAD/CAE space.
Jim Wilson has more than 24 years of experience in the software industry working as a chief architect, development manager, and product director. Jim has also been directly involved in the development and successful implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning and Customer Relationship Management solutions for numerous world-class manufacturers.
