Costa Mesa, CA May 1, 2005 – Acquired by Crawford Broadcasting Company in 1980, KBRT’s 10,000 watts affords it the second largest coverage of any station, AM or FM, in all of Southern California. Since its inception, many stations have come and gone, but KBRT has endured. Today it offers listeners a wide range of Christian programming, including The Paul McGuire Show’s live call-in format. Begun as a means to promote the Gospel, KBRT has become the cornerstone of contemporary Christian programming and boasts a cutting-edge facility in Costa Mesa.

The station has played host to numerous Christian leaders over the years, including Dr. James Dobson and Pastor Rick Warren of Saddleback Church. Throughout its history,
K-bright has striven to provide quality programming with clear, conservative messages. States Donald B. Crawford, President of Crawford Broadcasting, "All good things…are nowhere nearly as important as a rich and deep intellectual grasp of the issues and the courage to state honest, clear and detailed positions."

KBRT is an AM station operating on 740kHz with transmitter located on Catalina Island. Its 25th Anniversary Celebration will be marked with several high profile interviews throughout the month of May.
