"The Motivator From Hawaii" To Set the Stage for Monterey Festival
[ClickPress, Sun Jun 18 2006] Hawaiian native and author of "The Riches of Respect," Saitia Faaifo will be the Masters of Ceremonies First Annual Monterey Bay Polynesian Extravaganza June 17 - June 18. From 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. the festival will present non-stop activities for adults and children. Island Fever Enterprises, LLC, and Resort 2 Me Lodging Reservations are hosting the weekend event. The spectacular gala takes place at the gorgeous Laguna Seca in Monterey, CA.
"I am both honored and proud to have been chosen to be the emcee of the Monterey Bay Polynesian Extravaganza," said an elated Faaifo. "This will be a celebration of the Hawaiian and Polynesian cultures -- the biggest of it's kind for the area. We are expecting 20,000 - 30,000 people over the two days. There will be something for everyone; music, live bands, workshops, great food, vendor booths, and activities for the kids."
The Monterey Bay Polynesian Extravaganza is a family oriented festival. It features and celebrates the Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, New Zealand, and Fiji cultures. No alcoholic beverages will be sold or permitted on the grounds. Attendees can expect to enjoy two day of fun, academic enrichment, entertainment and Island cuisine.
DIRECTIONS TO LAGUNA SECA:
Driving North or South on Hwy 1:
take Hwy 218 (Seaside/Del Rey Oaks) exit. Travel south on Hwy 218 (Canyon Del Rey Rd) for approximately 2.5 miles. Turn left to Hwy 68 and go approximately 2.5 miles. Main Entrance of Laguna Seca Recreation Park/ Raceway will be on the left.
Driving South on Hwy 101 (from No CA):
take Hwy 156 West/Monterey Peninsula exit to Hwy 1. Take Hwy 1 south then follow Hwy 1 directions above.
Driving North on Hwy 101 (from So CA):
take Monterey Peninsula/Sanborn Rd exit. Turn right (west) on Sanborn Rd and travel about 2.2 miles to Hwy 68. Turn left (west) on Hwy 68 and go almost 10 miles to Main Entrance of Laguna Seca Recreation Park/ Raceway on rightside.
