[ClickPress, Tue Jun 20 2006] NCH, the children’s charity announced today that celebrity chef Aldo Zilli will be guest speaker at Birmingham’s premier business networking event, the Business Influence Luncheon to be held at the Burlington Hotel, Burlington Arcade, 126 New Street, Birmingham on 10 November 2006.

Profits from the event will boost NCH’s West Midlands Every Child Matters Appeal, which is highlighting poverty, disability and abuse faced by thousands of local children and teenagers, and is aiming to raise £300,000 to help fund NCH’s local centres.

Aldo Zilli is one of London’s most flamboyant restaurateurs. He runs the award-winning ‘Signor Zilli’ Italian restaurant in Soho and he has appeared in numerous television and radio programmes. In June 2006 he was one of the hugely popular chefs in ITV’s Celebrity X-Factor.

He has written several books including ‘The Zilli Cookbook’ (Simon and Schuster) and ‘Fish Cook’ (Aurum Press), both of which he will be signing at the Business Influence luncheon.

“We are delighted that Aldo will be speaking at this year’s Business Influence luncheon. He’s sure to bring a lot of charm and humour to the event which will be an enjoyable opportunity to strengthen business networks while supporting a great cause,” said Ruth Armstrong, Chair of Business Influence.

Local firms Jones & Palmer, HBJ Gateley Wareing solicitors, Kroll and Big Giant Head are sponsoring the Business Influence luncheon, which is now in its ninth year. Since 1998 it has raised over £120,000 for NCH, which works with more children and young people than any other UK charity.

Tickets are £60 per person or £600 per table, and are available from Charlene Williams at HBJ Gateley Wareing on 0121 234 0055 or email CSWilliams@hbj-gw.com.

To donate or support NCH, call 0121 321 5180, or write to ‘Every Child Matters Appeal’, NCH, 8 Mill Street, Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands B72 1TJ. Please make cheques payable to NCH.
