6th Annual Tammy Lynn Golf Classic to be Held October 12

RALEIGH, N.C. (September 2, 2009) – the Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities will host the 6th Annual Tammy Lynn Golf Classic – A Challenge at the Creek (www.tammylynngolfclassic.org) at Brier Creek Country Club on Monday, October 12, 2009. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Tammy Lynn Memorial Foundation, Inc.

The Tammy Lynn Golf Classic is sponsored by more than 50 individuals and businesses that have made financial and in-kind contributions. Players can look forward to a great day of golf, prizes, raffles, networking and fun, all for a great cause.

About the Tammy Lynn Center:
The Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities began in 1969 through the efforts of three Wake County families to confront the absence of programs for their children with special needs. The Center is named in memory of Tammy Lynn Pierce, a daughter of one of the founding families. Located on a nine-acre campus near NC State University’s Centennial Campus, the Center offers a variety of programs and services including early intervention, residential services, developmental day programs, respite care, nursing and therapy services.
