The Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) (www.cednc.org) has announced that it will host a celebration to commemorate 25 years of entrepreneurial support in the Research Triangle Park region of North Carolina. The casual party will take place Friday, Sept. 25 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the American Tobacco Historic District’s Bay 7, located in downtown Durham. All are welcome to attend and enjoy food, drinks, live music and acknowledging supporters of CED who have been a part of the organization during its 25 year history. Tickets are $25 and include one guest.
CED’s 25th birthday party will feature food and beverages by Red Hot & Blue of North Raleigh. The premier barbeque joint is a headline sponsor of the event in conjunction with Telegenics Media Productions. Raleigh-based LoneRider Brewing Company will provide its Shotgun Betty and DeadEye Jack beers. CED member-based bands The Dune Dogs and The JazzTones will provide live music. Additional support for CED’s 25th birthday party comes from Capital Broadcasting Company, MMI Public Relations and Host Committee members.
CED was established in 1984 by a team of business leaders, entrepreneurs and academicians in the Research Triangle Park as the first entrepreneurial support organization in the nation. Today, the organization has grown to more than 5,500 members and offers resources related to the life science and technology industries.
