Modern Commitments announce UK's First Gay Wedding & Lifestyle Event in London

Modern Commitments, the UK’s leading gay wedding planning company is to launch the UK’s first Gay Wedding and Lifestyle Show, Modern Life 2005, at the Business Design Centre in Islington on 19th and 20th November 2005. This is a major opportunity to be involved in what will be the most talked about consumer event of the year, with blanket coverage expected across TV, radio and the national press.

With over 30,000 visitors expected across both days, this is an unmissable commercial platform to reach this new and relatively untapped gay wedding market. Backed by consumer and radio advertising as well as PR and celebrity involvement, many blue chip companies and luxury brands are already in negotiations to sponsor or exhibit at the show.

Modern Life 2005 will be a great day out, bringing together over 200 exhibitors from all areas of the wedding industry. Seven dedicated arenas will guide visitors around the show from: Planning & Presentation, Honeymoon & Travel, Fashion & Style, Health & Fitness, Home & Leisure, Stags & Hens to Law & Legal, where couples can get advice about their commitment ceremony. The arenas will have their own unique style and will feature daily catwalk shows, music performances, live demonstrations, make-overs as well as themed bars and eateries.

Event Organiser, Richard Jones says, "The Civil Partnership Act, which will be implemented on the 5th December 2005, allowing same sex couples the right to register their partnership legally from the 21st December, has made this event a priority. We expect to attract consumers from all backgrounds and a wide age range from 25 up to 85 years, as many couples in long term partnerships will only now be able to legally demonstrate their commitment to each other."
