London, England (H2M) May 25th, 2005 -- H2M is reinventing the delivery of computing for both the end-user and the service provider - with Service Based Computing (SBC).

H2M provides consulting, outsourcing and strategy services. This release announces H2M’s completed design of the world’s first SBC model. SBC offers the simplicity of a telephone with full PC capability – it is compatible with many operating systems and is completely secure. This announcement begins the education of the market for SBC to replace the PC, laptop and thin-client.

Service Based Computing is a relatively new concept. "SBC delivers applications and data from a …computing platform… to simple end device… SBC puts the onus of managing the computing environment on the xSP", quoted from Chris Shipley. SBC removes today’s end-device from the network to take ownership as the end-node in the IP world – true voice and data convergence.

The M.D. of H2M, Scott E. MacKenzie, commented, "Everyday people complain about the complexity and TCO of PCs. To correct the root cause of the problem we must eliminate the elaborate end-devices used today – the PC’s time has come to an end". SBC is the revolution in end-user interface that offers both simplicity and functionality beyond the PC - with a positive ROI.
