Ealing Borough Council purchased Tribal’s Evolution asset management software in April 2003 and has recently added a contract for consultancy services to help collect, organise and manage its educational and asset data. The additional services include a full measurement survey of the Council’s school property portfolio, new CAD drawings for the property database, education suitability assessments and curriculum analysis work. The information gathered will help the council submit an accurate and timely DfES Asset Management Plan as well as streamlining integration of new data and CAD drawings into the property database.

Kent County Council carried out extensive trials before selecting Tribal Technology’s Enterprise Web Module to manage property data for over 600 schools. Institutions trialling the property and facilities management software rated it on features such as ease of navigation, clarity of information available, and its ability to reduce reliance on paper systems. The new Enterprise software will enable education establishments to better understand and use information relating to their buildings by gaining access in real time to the same data used by council officers. Over time Kent intends to replace paper-based records with electronic, to further maximise efficiency. Tribal Technology has a long-standing relationship with Kent County Council, in particular providing the managed learning environment at the heart of Kent Adult Education Services.

The London Borough of Newham has awarded a contract to Tribal Technology to supply the Enterprise Asset Management Plan (AMP) system to manage the council’s corporate property portfolio, replacing its outdated Microsoft Access-based system. The new Enterprise system will complement the existing contract which covers the education property portfolio. The web module allows council officers to access essential asset planning information directly over the web and is a major step towards meeting its e-Government requirements. Using Enterprise, Newham expects to make efficiencies through online ordering in its Property and Design Consultancy office, reducing dependence on onerous paper-based systems and automating the ordering process. Tribal’s asset management planning systems are used by over 100 local authorities.
