Career Transformations To Host Triangle Impact Representatives On Feb. 24

Career Transformations (http://sapc.ryark.com/) will host Joel McCullough, operations manager of training for Cisco Systems, and G. Paul Slovensky, board of directors member for Triangle Impact, as speakers at the group’s next meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 24 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. in the fellowship hall of Saint Andrews Presbyterian Church, located at 7506 Falls of Neuse Road. The presentation is titled "Opportunity in Unemployment," and will discuss the ways in which unemployment provides individuals with the opportunity to give back to their communities while continuing to network. Triangle Impact connects residents of the Triangle to rewarding volunteer opportunities with community agencies throughout the region.

DETAILS:
- McCullough had a long career in nonprofit project management with organizations such as the Special Olympics, Hands on Atlanta and the Paralympics. He most recently served as the Triangle Impact board chairman for three years.

- Slovensky currently serves on the board of directors for Triangle Impact, the Raleigh Little Theatre and the AIDS Community Residence Association. He is a member of the Wake County Business Advisory Council and the Triangle United Way Certification Board. Slovensky also provides voluntary consultation to the N.C. Vocational Rehabilitation Department and the N.C. Division for the Blind.
