BEIJING, PR China. -- The ChinaCare Group, the only international healthcare consulting firm in mainland China, announced today the appointment of two new vice presidents to the firm.

Sarah Zhang MD, MHA and Mark Spitalnik JD have been appointed to positions as Vice Presidents with the ChinaCare Group. In addition, Dr. Zhang and Mr. Spitalnik will become partners in the firm. Mr. David Wood, President and Senior Partner, in announcing the appointments which are effective immediately, indicated: ¡°Dr. Zhang and Mr. Spitalnik are superbly well-qualified individuals who will play a major role in the ChinaCare Group¡¯s active role in the development of the healthcare marketplace in China.¡±

Sarah Zhang, MD, MHA joined The ChinaCare Group in June, 2004 and served since that time as a senior consultant. Dr. Zhang received her medical education from the Peking University Health Science Center in Beijing, China, and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the People's Hospital in Beijing. She also received a Master of Health Administration (MHA) from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the United States.

Dr. Zhang's international experience includes serving as a consultant to the Department of General Internal Medicine at Tulane University Hospital in the United States where she assisted the department in developing a market analysis and strategic assessment, provided marketing strategy and developed recommendations for short-term and long-term strategic goals. She has also worked with American LifeCare, a United States-based managed care organization where she assisted in marketing research for the Costa Rican healthcare system and developed a feasibility study for international expansion as well as provided guidance and support for American LifeCare's marketing program. Dr. Zhang is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and was recently invited to speak at the 2005 ACHE National Congress in Chicago, Illinois, United States.

Mark Spitalnik, JD, is an experienced healthcare attorney and consultant with over eighteen years of experience both in the United States and the People¡¯s Republic of China. A graduate of Georgetown University in Washington, DC, Mr. Spitalnik clerked on the Colorado Court of Appeals and the Colorado Supreme Court before entering into private practice in the areas of medical malpractice, complex products liability and health insurance defense.

Mr. Spitalnik has lived in the People¡¯s Republic of China since 1998 and is fluently bilingual. In China, Mr. Spitalnik has served for six years as General Manager of a large international company¡¯s China operations working closely with the foreign and domestic business communities. Prior to joining the ChinaCare Group, Mr. Spitalnik served as a business advisor and consultant for foreign firms considering entering into the Chinese marketplace. In this capacity, he advised these firms on the business, social and legal implications of doing business in China.
