BizM3, a leading mobile marketing technology company, today announced it has been selected as a partner of the United States Postal Services Nationwide Summer Sale 2010.

bizM3 was selected to help educate USPS customers on how mobile marketing can enhance direct mail programs and maximize overall marketing strategies. The sale offers eligible clients up to 30 percent off normal postal rates from July 2010 through September 2010.
"Working with the USPS on this type of promotion will help the USPS add value to its current offerings of discounted postal rates," said Michael Teague, chief executive officer of bizM3. "Mobile marketing can dramatically enhance the return on investment of direct mail campaigns."
During the "Summer Sale" program, bizM3 will provide educational materials to qualified mailers about mobile marketing solutions, including text message campaigns, mobile websites, digital signage, interactive voice recognition and iPhone applications.
Qualified Summer Sale participants also will learn how to engage their target market with text-to-win contests and trivia games as well as how to obtain valuable demographic data they can use to better define their target market. By developing a greater awareness of the potential of mobile marketing in their particular industry, Summer Sale participants will be enabled to make better decisions about incorporating it into their direct mail campaigns.

The Summer Sale Program was created to provide an incentive for customers to increase Standard Mail use above the volume they would otherwise have sent. This allows companies to increase communication, acquire new customers and retain existing clients.

To be eligible to participate in the 2010 event, a company must have mailed 350,000 or more Standard Mail letters and flats between July 1 and Sept. 30, 2009 through Permit Accounts owned by the customer or through permits set up in the customer’s name (ghost permits) by a Mail Service Provider. Mail Service Providers (MSPs) are not eligible to participate.

The sale offers eligible companies a 30 percent postage rebate on non-parcel Standard Mail letter and flat volumes sent through a company’s Permit Account(s). This includes permit imprint advance deposit account, precanceled stamp permit or postage meter permit, or by a combination of these methods between, July 1 and Sept. 30, 2010 that is above the predetermined volume threshold.

"With the ubiquity of the mobile phone, we realize the enormous opportunity for direct mail and mobile marketing to work together to allow companies to effectively communicate with their target market and build their mobile database," said USPS Business Alliance Manager Eddie Alvarran.
