CHICAGO, IL (May 2005)— As summer quickly approaches, waiting to go out on Friday seems like an eternity. Sal & Carvao says the wait is over! Located at 739 N. Clark, Sal & Carvao kicks off this summer "Brazilian style," with Caipirinha Thursdays! Every Thursday, starting at 6 p.m., enjoy $5 Caipirinha’s all night long in the Bossa Nova Lounge.

Start your weekend a day early as you sip on Brazil’s favorite cocktail…the Caipirinha! Prepared with lime, sugar and Cachaca (Brazilian rum made out of sugar cane), guests will be in paradise as they enjoy live entertainment in the exotic upstairs Bossa Nova Lounge. Join Sal & Carvao for this perfect kickoff to both summer and the weekend!

Sal & Carvão is a unique dining experience that transports guests into the culture that is the Brazil of yesterday and today. The first Brazilian Steakhouse/churrascaria to launch in Illinois, Sal & Carvao opened its doors in July 2002 with its Schaumburg location (801 E. Algonquin Road) and its Downers Grove (3800 Finley Road of Butterfield) later that year.

Dinner is served Sunday from 4:00 – 9:30p.m., Monday through Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
