APPROVAL FOR BPT PROGRAM FROM M.O.E.

Gulf Medical College, Ajman (GMCA) - one of the leading medical colleges in the region – receives its official "APPROVAL" from Ministry of Education for its B.P.T- Bachelor of Physiotherapy Program.

Ministry of Education (MOE) currently recognizes Gulf Medical College, Ajman (GMCA) as an institution of higher education. The B.P.T program conducted by the college has received " Accreditation Eligible Status" from the Ministry.

The degree course in Physiotherapy (B.P.T.) is designed to impart in-depth knowledge and skill to a student to become competent in the recognition and management of various clinical conditions by appropriate modalities of physiotherapy. The college is currently offering 25 seats for both boys and girls of all nationalities. At present majority of them are girls who are perusing their B.P.T program at G.M.C The duration of the course of study for the Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree extends over a period of four years.

This comprises of three and a half years of course work followed by six months of compulsory internship training.The B.P.T graduates have lot of job opportunities around the world and at present there is an increasing demand for this profession. The college has progressed remarkably well, thanks to the wholehearted support and co-operation from the Ministry of Higher education and is fully geared to start the 7th year of its academic activities.

Training at the college is on par with any of the best and well-established medical schools in the world. The college has students from over 36 nationalities. The teaching faculty at GMCA consists of highly qualified and well-experienced professors who are dedicated and fully committed to provide the students with good training in the medical field to make them competent Physiotherapists. In addition to regular teaching the program utilizes e-learning into their education to keep them on par with the modern teaching and learning methods.

The clinical training of the B.P.T students is done at the Gulf Medical College Hospital and Research Centre, Ajman, which is the first university hospital in the U.A.E with a capacity of 150 beds housed with ultra modern facilities. The women's Health Centre, Hi-Tech Laboratory, Modern I.C.U & C.C.U Facilities, 24 hours pharmacy, Modern Radiology Department, On call doctor service, Fertility centre, Emergency. Apart from that the students also go to the following hospitals for training Iranian hospital-Dubai, Ajman Old Age Home, Ajman Handicap Center.
