Sift has been selected to provide online engagement solutions to two public sector organisations – Northumberland County Council and the Scottish Executive. Each shares a common objective for its web solutions – to establish and grow an online dialogue with its local community.

Northumberland’s ‘Rural Voices Network’ project (www.ruralvoices.org.uk) aims to be a single, online portal for individuals and organisations to share information and to collaborate on the county’s rural development.

Richard Groves, Regeneration Policy Manager at Northumberland County Council, comments:

"Sift has proven its ability to develop online communities and this experience will be vital to the success of the 'Rural Voices Network'."

And, after a rigorous European procurement exercise, Sift was one of eight firms appointed to the Scottish Executive’s FITSS 3 framework. The aim of the framework is to help deliver web technology initiatives for the Scottish public sector.

Earlier this year, Sift announced that it had secured the contract for Scottish Executive’s ‘Rural Community Gateway’ project (www.ruralgateway.org.uk).

Helen Trim, sales and marketing director at Sift, says:

"Sift continues to build its presence and experience in the public sector, delivering solutions to help them engage online with their local communities, regularly and effectively. We are delighted to be working with each and every one of them."
