Better Bathrooms Aids BBC On Search for Britain’s Best Young Plumber

Following on from the success last year of the BBC’s hit tv show ‘Britain’s Best Young....’ , today the BBC has announced it is to launch a new search for the very best young Plumbers around the UK. Young Plumber of the Year is part of a series that sets out to discover those young British workers who have practical and meaningful skills, which won’t necessarily win them any million pound recording contracts, but which are required by people in their everyday lives.

To aid the BBC in its search, the online retailer, Better Bathrooms is making full use of its plumbing contacts and resources to reach out to young plumbers around the North West. Although mainly an online company, Better Bathrooms does have 3 showrooms and sales counter located at its warehouse in Warrington, which it intends to make full use of in promoting the BBC’s new talent search. Colin Stevens, the managing director of Better Bathrooms said "We have always been intent on helping local people wherever we can, either through saving them money on their new bathroom suite, or through providing a secure future for them as an employee with us. When the BBC approached us with the idea for their new TV show to find the best young plumber in Britain, it was something we had to be involved with. Through our stores, sales counter and even our warehouse; we will be promoting the search via posters, leaflets and even getting our sales staff to raise the idea with our customers. As a bathroom retailer, we naturally get lots of plumbers through our doors, so it’s a perfect opportunity to promote the idea to them. We really want Britain’s best young plumber to come from the North West, and if we can help to find that person, we would be extremely proud."
