Alt-N Technologies (www.altn.com), a global leader in secure email, collaboration, and fax servers for the Windows platform, today announced support for DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) in its MDaemon mail server product. MDaemon 8.10, to be released on July 26, 2005, will be the first commercial product to incorporate DKIM technology.

"DKIM represents the latest in our ongoing commitment to provide leading edge email security options to our MDaemon mail server customers," says Arvel Hathcock, founder and CEO of Alt-N Technologies. "MDaemon already includes full support for SPF and DomainKeys. DKIM adds the latest in cryptographic authentication to our product line."

DKIM is a signature-based e-mail authentication proposal which is based on Yahoo!’s DomainKeys e-mail authentication technology and Cisco’s Identified Internet Mail. It provides e-mail users with an additional level of protection against e-mail forgery, a tactic often used in phishing attacks. DKIM was developed so that businesses and consumers will have a stronger, more accurate means for identifying legitimate e-mail messages. DKIM provides transactional institutions added brand protection by giving consumers increased assurance of the legitimacy of the e-mails they receive.

MDaemon 8.10 with DKIM is a secure, turn-key mail server solution. It can also serve as a secure "front-door" to an existing email system such as Microsoft Exchange thereby bringing SPF, DomainKeys, and DKIM capability where it didn’t exist before.
