KIa fist half sales in the UAE

Al Majid Motors Co. (Member of Juma Al Majid Group), the sole distributor for Kia vehicles in the UAE announced the year-on-year retail sales increase of 84.8%, setting a new record monthly sales, for the month of June 2005.

This strong June performance can be attributed to rising sales of the all-new A-segment Picanto, the C-segment Cerato and the B-segment Rio, which contributed 43.8% of the total sale in the month of June. This positive sales momentum is expected to further accelerate with the soon-to-be-launched all-new B-segment Rio. The sales of passenger cars contributed 53.0% of the total sales and recreational vehicles and light commercial vehicles contributed 28.0% and 19.0% respectively.

For the first half of 2005, Al Majid Motors Co. has seen its retail sales leap by 55.3%. Over this period, AMMC sales for Passenger Cars increased 76.3 % while Recreational Vehicles sales increased (4WD & Family Vans) 31.4 % and Light Commercial Vehicles experience a 45.7 % increase which helped AMMC achieve No.4 position in total sales in the GCC, Middle East and North Africa region.

Ahmad, Studies & Marketing Manager of Al Majid Motors Co.

"The new additions to its rapidly growing vehicle line-up, which increasingly feature European styling and improved quality and safety facilities, helped us further in boosting KIA presence in the UAE", he added.
