Robert J. Ramseur, Jr. Named To “Legal Elite”

Ragsdale Liggett PLLC has announced that Robert J. Ramseur, Jr., a partner in the firm, has been recognized as one of the top lawyers in North Carolina by Business North Carolina, a magazine that covers business trends and issues in the state.

Each year, Business North Carolina mails ballots to every lawyer living in North Carolina licensed by the State Bar. The ballots ask: "Of the North Carolina lawyers whose work you have observed firsthand, whom would you rate among the current best?" Voters in 2007 selected Ramseur, and he was subsequently inducted into the Legal Elite in the area of real estate. Less than 3 percent of the state’s lawyers made the list. This year marks the second consecutive Legal Elite recognition for Ramseur.

About Robert Ramseur, Jr.:
Robert J. Ramseur, Jr. is a partner at Ragsdale Liggett PLLC, where he heads the Residential Real Estate Department. Licensed to practice law in North Carolina in 1996, Ramseur practiced solo in Raleigh for five years before joining Ragsdale Liggett. He is a licensed Real Estate Salesman in North Carolina. Ramseur serves on the Wake County Bar Association Facilities Committee and is a member of the American, Wake County, 10th Judicial District and North Carolina Bar Associations, and is active in the Wake County Real Property Lawyers Association. In 2005, Ramseur was elected to the board of directors for Theater in the Park (TIP), a local nonprofit organization and the largest community theatre in North Carolina. In this position, Ramseur serves as a liaison between TIP and the community to sustain and further develop community relations. Ramseur has provided pro bono legal advice on housing issues and landlord-tenant disputes to low-income citizens in North Carolina. He serves on the board of the Rotary Club of the Capital City, a nonprofit civic club, as the chair of club service.
