The world famous star has played at major venues in cities internationally and will be making his way to Singapore to entertain audiences for a special one night only performance.

Being staged on 5th October 2010 the evening will begin with recitals from the Singapore Symphony Orchestra who will be conducted by musical director Lan Shui. The performance consists of three masterpieces including Stokowski’s version of Bach’s Air on a G string, The Fair Melusina by Mendelssohn and culminates with Brahms Variations on a Theme by Joseph Haydn.

The hotly anticipated Lang Lang will then join the orchestra for a rendition of Beethoven’s legendary Piano Concerto No.1 in C major for the remainder of the evening.

Lang Lang first started playing the piano when he was three years old and won a series of young musician awards until the age of 17 when he was handed a last minute opportunity to play with the Chicago Symphony.

Since that time he has sold millions of albums worldwide and been invited to perform at major events around the world including the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics in 2008.

Classical music enthusiasts staying in Singapore hotels will be attending the evening at the Esplanade Concert Hall which starts from 7:30pm. Tickets range from 25 to 140 Singapore Dollars with concessions available for students and senior citizens.
