China-Biotics Files New Patent Applications

China-Biotics, Inc. (Nasdaq: CHBT) (“China-Biotics” or “the Company”), the leading developer, manufacturer and distributor of probiotics products in China, today announced that it has submitted two new patent applications to the State Bureau of Intellect Property.

The Company’s wholly owned subsidiary, Growing Bioengineering (Shanghai) Co. Ltd., located in the Qingpu Industrial Zone, has filed two applications in the areas of heat resistant fermentation technology and probiotics protein beverage.
