Russell Jones & Walker Solicitors is representing ten families of victims of the 7/7 London bombings at the ongoing inquest into the incidents, which began on 14th October 2010. The independent Coroner’s Inquests into the London Bombings of 7 July 2005, which will be overseen by the Right Honourable Lady Justice Hallett D.B.E., will examine the details of the case and the lead up to the bombings on 7th July 2005 and have been welcomed by the victims' families, who continue to seek answers about the terrorist attacks more than five years later.

52 civilians were killed when three bombs exploded on London Underground trains, followed by a further explosion on a double-decker bus in Tavistock Square on the morning of Thursday 7th July 2005. A further 700 people were injured and the four suicide bombers also died. The incidents have since been collectively known as the "7/7 bombings".

James Carlton, partner at Russell Jones & Walker Solicitors representing ten of the families involved, said:

"For all the families involved in this inquest it has been a long, often difficult wait. They are all understandably devastated by their individual loss and want to find answers to the circumstances surrounding how their loved ones came to die. At the same time, all involved are concerned as to whether there were, or indeed are now, any steps that could have been taken to prevent these atrocities from occurring at the time or again in the future by any or all of the authorities involved.

"The decision by Lady Justice Hallett to examine the actions of intelligence agencies in the scope of the inquest was a welcome inclusion for the victims' families."

National law firm Russell Jones & Walker, who specialise in all types of business crime and regulation matters including public inquiries, has been instructed by ten families of victims of the 7/7 bombings inquest which is expected to commence in October 2010.
