Published: Wed Oct 20 2010

Artists will display Christmas themed works made out of glass as well as actually give demonstrations on how glass is shaped into pieces of artwork for curious visitors. Glass history expert Vlastimil Vondruska will attend the exhibition, whilst two of the glass artists who will take part include Ondrej Vajgl, who uses the drawn glass technique to create his artwork, and Valerie Benackova, who uses the glass underpainting technique.

The exhibition will open on the 27th of November and will run until the 3rd of January 2011. The exhibition will also include a woodcarving workshop, which will run from the 28th of November until the 4th of December, and a lace workshop, which will run for two days from the 11th to the 12th of December. Opening times are 9am to 6pm daily, except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, where the opening times will be 9am to 2pm and 1pm to 6pm respectively.

Those on holiday in the area and staying in a Prague hotel are well advised to take the time to visit the Glass Christmas in Bethlehem Chapel 2010 exhibition. It will doubtless be an experience to remember.
