Univadis.md providing comprehensive medical information to 60% of physicians in the UAE

Univadis.md, the world’s most comprehensive medical online library and research engine for physicians in the UAE, has seen a tremendous increase in the number of subscriptions since its launch in July last year at Dubai Internet City.

In the year since its launch, univadis.md has seen the number of registrations increase by over 150%, bringing the number of physicians registered to the web portal to 2,600, approximately 60% of the total population of physicians in the UAE.

The global web portal, which was launched simultaneously in London, New York and Hong Kong, offers professional content for UAE physicians seeking access to knowledge management applications and time-saving resources. The UAE portal offers data from the region, making it more applicable to the local medical community, and contains up-to-date news on the latest medical developments and breakthroughs from major news sources and journals.

Univadis.md, in partnership with Science Press Internet Services (SPIS), a leading provider of online medical content, was launched in response to the growing need for doctors in the GCC region to have fast and reliable access to credible medical information. Through the creation of the Medical Literature Finder, the first medical search engine, univadis.md was able to do just that, by providing a single interface to search and access the most extensive specialized library of online medical resources, in only a matter of seconds, making Univadis.md the largest online source of medical information.

In addition to this, univadis.md enables physicians to access global news, through its partnership with Reuters, a leading news service provider offering a vast resource on both general news and specialized health information.
