CRB Releases Attendance Figures for CRS 38

Attendance figures have been released for the 38th annual Country Radio Seminar ( CRS - 38) which ended Friday, March 2, 2007.

This years total attendance figure was 2865, including 2080 full registrants (including exhibitors, panelists and sponsors ) and 785 participant registrants. Participant registrants attend part of the event but do not register for the full seminar. Those related events include the Thursday afternoon Town Meeting and the Friday Radio Sales Day.

This represents a 7% increase over last year when the combined total was 2679.

Radio Consultant and CRB Board Member Rusty Walker commented about this years Country Radio Seminar "What impressed me this year was the large number of first time attendees and the solid representation by small and medium market stations. It seems that many of these stations view the Seminar as a great opportunity for continuing education and networking".

Country Radio Broadcasters incoming President Becky Brenner further noted "There was a real positive feeling about the event this year with many registrants feeling that their was a great balance between education and entertainment. We are very upbeat going into the early planning stages of CRS-39".

Joining Brenner as officers this year are Bill Mayne (903 Music) Vice President, Carole Bowen (WKIS) Secretary and Jeff Walker (AristoMedia/Marco Promotions) Treasurer.

Newly elected Board Members were Joel Burke (KYGO), Renee Fonner (KFKF), Mike Peterson (WUSN) and John Zarling (Big Machine Records).

Bob Richards (WFMS Indianapolis) was named Agenda Chair for the upcoming year and Keith Kaufman (WSIX Nashville) was named Agenda Vice-Chair.

CRS-39 will be March 5-7, 2008 at the Nashville Convention Center.
