The Asian Conference on Education 2010 is a combination of academics and students who will be meeting to discuss the educational syllabus and teaching methods from different countries.

Now in its second edition, this year’s forum will focus on the theme of ‘Internationalization or Globalization?’ and is inviting members to submit papers on the subject which will be reviewed and discussed at the event.

With educational methods now covering a wide range of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, as a result of globalization and internationalization, the organisers are looking for new views on the subject. Specialist areas of debate will be on distance and access and how the internet has played a part in education for adults.

The conference is being run in association with the Institute for Lifelong Learning, Birkbeck, University of London and The Distance Learning Centre Waseda University, Tokyo. Professors from each university will co-chair the event to present the similarities and differences in learning from each of the respective countries.

The conference is set to run from 2nd to 5th December 2010 and attendees staying in Osaka hotels will be meeting at the Ramada hotel for the event.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "Scholars and academics will be in attendance to learn more about the newest developments in education from experts in the field. People searching for hotels in Osaka should therefore check availability online before arriving in the city."
