The Israeli opera will bring this powerful psychological piece to the stage on December 16th, 17th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd.

With Vladimir Braun taking the role of the eponymous lead and Svetlanda Sandler singing the part of Judit, the opera promises an exciting night out for all opera fans.

Directed by Shirit Lee Weiss and conducted by Ilan Volkov, the Israel Symphony Opera’s Rishon LeZion will bring to life Bartok’s monumental score against a backdrop of sets designed by Dale Chiuly.

Audiences can expect a two-for-one auditory experience at this event, with a performance of Mahler’s brilliant Kindertotenlider on the programme as well, with Edna Prochnik taking the mezzo soprano role.

Each performance will begin at 8 pm with tickets priced from 175 to 428 Nis available from the box office. A 15 Nis supplement will apply to Saturday night tickets.

Lek Boonlert, Head of Marketing at DirectRooms.com, said: "Opera fans from across the Middle East will travel to Tel Aviv to enjoy this unique performance, meaning accommodation in the area will be in high demand. Anyone hoping to stay in the city during the run of the opera is best advised to decide which hotel Tel Aviv offers will best suit their needs and book early in order to avoid disappointment.
