Lancashire County Cricket Club has appointed Online DM to help develop their e-marketing strategy.

LCCC, who will be hosting the third Ashes test at Old Trafford this week, will use Online DM’s ‘Desktop Marketing Icon’ (DMI) technology to boost supporter traffic to their website.

DMI will automatically update LCCC fans with the latest club news via an ‘intelligent screensaver’ which changes daily. DMI links to news posted on the main LCCC website.

Ken Grime, Marketing Services Manager at LCCC commented: "Most of our fans click on news when they go onto the site but if they’re not on the site, we can’t communicate with them. DMI is a great way of keeping them informed proactively and driving traffic to the site."

"Google is now as well known to cricket fans as ‘googly’ and LCCC are one famous sporting club not afraid to adopt the latest online technologies." said Paul Anderson, Commercial Director for Online DM.

"DMI is proving popular as a push technology alternative to the company intranet or for brands with fanatical fans such as sports clubs and music bands," he added.
