Horizon Forest Products and Duke Realty Corporation Announce Groundbreaking

Horizon Forest Products and Duke Realty Corporation have broken ground on Horizon Forest Product’s new corporate facility in Raleigh. The new 101,640 square foot building is located at 4115 Commodity Parkway in Raleigh and will open September 2007.

Horizon Forest Products Vice President, David Williams, is pleased to be partnering with Duke Realty Corporation on this project and said the new building will allow his company to better serve their clients by being able to carry a larger and more diverse inventory.

"Horizon Forest Products is making a bold statement to our customers and suppliers in the Carolinas with this move," said Williams. "We want to continue to offer the best hardwood products for all of our customers and this new facility will allow us to do this for years to come. The increased space will allow us to carry a greater selection of hardwood flooring, hardwood lumber, and plywood for all of our flooring customers and cabinet makers."

Since entering the Triangle in 1999, Duke Realty has invested over $600 million in the area. Duke's local portfolio includes more than 5.2 million square feet of office and industrial commercial real estate, which it owns, manages, and or has developed, as well as 195 acres of undeveloped land for future development.
