With cities like Amman expanding at a rapid rate scholars will be reviewing how this growth can be maintained sustainably through the collaboration of different departments. Conservation of Architecture, Urban Areas, Nature and Landscape: Towards a Sustainable Survival of Cultural Landscape (CSAAR) 2011 will share ideas from the country’s leading academics with a number of international experts working in the fields of conservation and planning.

Typical new areas of development involve many authorities such as housing and agriculture societies, urban planning or even the ministries of culture. The conference will look to set guidelines of how these organisations can work together to devise new ways of achieving continued sustainability.

Themes set to be covered at the meeting include the idea of establishing a cultural landscape that creates a synergy between nature and urban development. This will be reviewed in greater detail by looking at development policies and how new technologies can be used to make the process more simple.

Attendees will be in Amman for at least three days when the event runs from 14th to 16th March which in turn will lead to a higher number of requests for Amman hotels.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "CSAAR will discuss critical issues for Jordan’s development which will attract many key decision makers. Hotels in the city will be experiencing strong demand so early reservations are recommended for attendees."
