The Tamarind Springs Yoga Retreat Koh Samui will see attendees to the premier resort learning about yoga and meditation practices to help awaken and harness the power of unused energy within the body.
The retreat is open to beginners or more advanced practitioners as the instructor will provide individual training for each member. The course will focus on the Hatha and Kundalini traditions which is Agama or Tantric yoga that specifically concentrates on the body’s energy rather than aerobic type exercise. People attending the program from hotels in Koh Samui will be taught how to recognise energy within the body and chakras which can be moved and manipulated.
Attendees will also learn about developing the mind and concentration as the practice is formed on the traditional scriptures known as shastras that highlight the need for a correct state of mind while performing yoga.
The course runs from 14th to 19th February 2011 and along with the physical exercises visitors will also be taught about the theory and there’ll be the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary massage at the resort’s spa.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "The retreat is likely to attract new visitors to Koh Samui, many of whom will be looking for hotels to explore the island after the five days. People should look online to confirm the availability of places over the time of the program."
