Horticultural Asset Management, Inc. Names Affiliate Program Member For Raleigh-Durham Market

Published: Mon Apr 23 2007

Doug Cowles, president and CEO of Horticultural Asset Management, Inc. (HMI), has announced that the Raleigh and Chapel Hill offices of Keller Williams Realty have contracted to be a member of HMI’s new Real Estate Affiliate Program in the Raleigh-Durham market. Under the terms of the program, Keller Williams Realty clients will receive reduced pricing for the assessment. HMI will also customize each assessment with the agency and individual broker’s logos and brand.

The assessment service involves the identification, sizing, mapping and general inspection of the landscape trees and shrubs on a property. This information is processed through HMI’s proprietary system and returns current through five-year replacement cost values, a plant health score, and plant descriptions, photographs and care and maintenance instructions for each asset. With this information, home sellers and brokers can quantify the value of the landscape assets and the new homebuyer receives a complete inventory and care guide for the landscape assets.

As an affiliate member, home sellers who order an assessment will receive added value in the form of two certificates valued at $500 in tree and shrub care services. A third certificate worth $250 will be available to the new homeowner. All services will be performed by Bartlett Tree Experts. Bartlett is an international leader in residential and commercial tree and shrub care. As a member of HMI’s network of field-based assessors, Bartlett will send their staff arborists to each property to gather the information for the assessments.

Quotes:
"We are pleased to have Keller Williams Realty join HMI’s Affiliate Program," said Cowles. "HMI’s assessment services will be a valuable addition to the services Keller Williams already offers their clients."

"HMI’s assessments are a valuable resource to both seller and the buyer of a home," said Wayne Hankins, Team Leader and Operating Partner with Keller Williams Realty in Raleigh and Chapel Hill. "Incorporating this tool with our already established services will portray more accurate values and information for property owners providing a better understanding of a property’s true value."
